Woops! Error 502 |
You are Here : Redstroke.com > Error Codes > Error 502
Oh my gosh! You're just one person too many. It looks like so many people are using the Redstroke.com server at the moment that there's just not enough room for any more people. If you don't mind, please contact me explaining that you received "error 502" and the time you received it (with your time zone). With your input, capacity may be increased. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and please try again later.
On a side-note: If the server is so overloaded, you may be asking yourself why we go to all the trouble of sending these spiffy graphics. Why don't we just have that automated server message with the big, scary, black letters that SCREAM the error code at you? I'll tell you why! Because at Redstroke.com, we stress quality work, even if it means a total loss of efficiency. At Redstroke.com, we are willing to waste that much more bandwidth on the Internet just so you can look at our pretty logo. And that's why you keep coming back to us, time and time again. In this age of downsized and streamlined corporations and haircuts, you can rest easy knowing that Redstroke.com is still willing to throw a little sand in the gears for the sake of self-promotion. We don't conform... we don't have to conform... we don't have advertising clients to satisfy! We could fill this whole friggin' page up with graphics to bog down the server, and who would stop us? The bandwidth police? But we won't do that, because here at Redstroke.com, we have tact. We have tact enough to know when to quit talking. We have tact enough to say, "We're not going to fill up error message pages with meaningless ramblings, because we know how important that bandwidth could be to the server." We know that while our error message is being transferred to you, a little starving boy in a small third-world country somewhere is waiting for a picture of food to appear on his shiny new monitor. We want to see that little boy see his food. And that's why we're not packing this page with unnecessary data. And what does this mean for you? It means that you can use Redstroke.com knowing that you're supporting an organization that supports starving little boys in third-world countries. And if you would like to show your support by adopting a byte of Redstroke.com, your donation would serve to display pictures of food to computers all over the world. Redstroke.com contains millions of bytes, all of which need the basic necessities that you and I take for granted. If you're interested in adopting a byte to demonstrate your support of lowered bandwidth and the resulting elimination of world hunger, send e-mail to sallystruthers@redstroke.com. Thank you.
